Chase and Cassidy- The Loftis name will continue!!
These two cute kids are getting married!! I loved watching this "young, no I'm not getting married until I'm in my 30's because I have things to do for myself" kid fall in love. I love Cassidy! She is so good to Chase and she thinks he smells good! They have chosen December 18. It's a special day for a lot of us Loftis' because it also marks our anniversary, his grandparents anniversary, Robert and Silvana's anniversary, and an aunt and uncle's anniversary! These two will do well.
Oliver!
Sierra performed in another play in June.....
She did an excellent job playing the role of Nancy ( the abused wife of Bill Sykes who loses her life doing the right thing-really? ) I'm just hoping that her beautiful rendition of "As long As He Needs Me" wasn't understood by the young children in the show.

A sad goodbye.....
I was released from my service as a church service missionary at the Family History Library in July. I was recently called to be the Relief Society President in my ward. I'm not a Chet.....I'm a Jenny. And Jenny's keep things simple in their lives. While I may have been able to pull it off doing both, my kiddos at home would not see me much. My older kids had me home all of the time, especially when they got home from school.....it doesn't feel right to rob the Tweedles of that (whether they want me there or not). So I'm home-to serve my family, my friends and my neighborhood. This allows me to still be at home to do laundry, cook, clean, mow the lawn, work on house projects, pick up kids, and maybe do some family history work.....
Goodbye for now to my Family History Training Zone friends, and I mean the very best of friends-like life long friends. They have meant so much to me!!

Tennessee- Finding your Southern Roots.....
Chet had another conference in the beginning of June in Memphis. His Dad's family is from Tennessee, so we decided to take a road trip to Cooke County, Tennessee to find graves of his ancestors. What a cool place to visit and learn about the Loftis' and see their homeland. They came to Tennessee around 1800 from South Carolina via the Northeast via Ireland. Traveling the country roads and finding a family cemetery along the way was cool! The Loftis name is as common as Smiths are in Utah. No JOKE!

Laban Loftis (no pun intended) came to Tennessee from South Carolina.
Visiting the Old Mat Loftis Cemetery, hidden on a hill in the middle of nowhere. I had to use some mad navigating skills to locate it. But we did it. It was a very spiritual spot. Almost a sacred memory of Loftis' before us. It was a special experience.
Hanging out in Memphis for Chet's conference
Tennessee State Capital
Never been much for Andrew Jackson and apparently his wife was not much for politics. She died just prior to him taking office. He felt it was from the negative things that were said about his family. His politics were a bit messed up, but I liked this quote by Rachel Jackson;
"I'd rather be a door keeper in the house of God than to live in that palace in Washington."
Good on you Rachel! Me too!!
Memphis is a loud place. The old section downtown is a place where would be country musicians can come to perform. They perform all day and all night. Our room was just above Honky Tonk Central and I literally heard music until 4 a.m.
Beautiful sunset just past all of the State buildings.

Finding the starting point when you're behind.......
I'm so behind...... May 2015- Florida
One thing that Chet and I like to do when he has a conference somewhere is to EXPLORE! In May, he had two consecutive conferences in Florida. The first in Bonita Springs and the second in Boca Raton. We got there the weekend before and spent a Saturday driving all the way through the Florida Keys. What a fun adventure. It was beautiful with some lazy beaches and crazy shell encrusted trucks.
Of course there were lighthouses and random roosters running through town:)
Key Lime Pie in the Keys! (Chet's favorite dessert ever)
Now a trip to Florida wouldn't be one without alligators and snakes randomly hanging out at the rest stops. We have bear warnings where we go in Utah-they have alligator warnings in Florida. NO THANKS....
Swanky Hilton resort in Bonita Springs...

Swanky resort in Boca Raton....
Oh yes....iguanas too....
And wonderful Sushi!
